Rosslare Strand Beach

The beach at Rosslare Strand is an urban fine-sand beach with a relatively gentle slope. The sand type is soft and windblown. The sand dunes extent is narrow to the rear (west) of the beach. There is no significant vegetation growing in the waters off the beach. Wexford Wildfowl Reserve, North Slob, Wexford, is Ireland's Premier Wildfowl Reserve situated on the coast, and in sight of the southeast corner of Ireland. Rosslare Strand beach is a popular fishing spot and also used by a limited number of surfers, windsurfers and canoeists. The bathing area is approximately 0.5 km long and 0.1 km² in area.

Water quality is classified as "Excellent" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
